EB makes skin so fragile that the smallest knock can tear it. Many people know it as butterfly skin. For the people living with it, that means pain every day, hours of bandage changes and wounds that are slow to heal.

We are the only charity in Ireland dedicated to people living with EB, and almost everything we do is paid for by people like you. Every euro you raise helps us ease the pain of EB right now, while we fund the research that we hope will one day end it.

Donate by cheque, bank transfer or over the phone

You can also give by cheque, bank transfer or over the phone. Every gift helps us fund respite, counselling, play therapy, home visits and adaptations, and vital EB research.

Give monthly. Be there every day.

EB doesn't take a day off. For people living with it, every day brings fragile skin, painful wounds and bandage changes that can take hours. A monthly gift means we can be there for them all year round, not just when an appeal is on. You choose how much to give, and you can change or stop it whenever you like. If you give €250 or more in a year, we can claim the tax back, adding up to 45% to your gift at no extra cost to you.

Take on a challenge

Abseil from the stands of Croke Park or be one of the first down Thomond Park in Limerick when it launches in 2027. Walk the Dingle Peninsula on our Kerry Challenge every May, saddle up for a charity cycle, or join our brand new Alpine Butterfly Trek in Italy from 21 to 27 June 2027.

Come to one of our events

Join us in April for our charity lunch at Glovers Alley on St Stephen's Green, with a menu from one of Dublin's finest kitchens. Or spend a September afternoon at Polo by Debra in the Phoenix Park, with world-class polo, special guests and a best dressed competition that people talk about for weeks.

Partner with us through your business

We work with Irish companies of every size to build partnerships that mean something to their staff and to the families we support. That might be Charity of the Year, sponsoring one of our events, staff fundraising or turning your recycling programme into support for our work.

Go Inside Out every October

Inside Out Day is our big awareness day, and it couldn't be easier. Schools, offices and community groups wear their clothes inside out for the day and make a donation, to show what life is like when your skin is fragile.

Make Christmas count at work

Christmas is about family and looking out for each other. Bring that into your workplace with a Christmas jumper day for Inside Out, a festive office raffle, or client gifts that give back to families living with EB.

Fundraise your way

Running a marathon, celebrating a big birthday or finally shaving off the beard? Turn it into a fundraiser for people living with EB. You choose what to do and we'll back you all the way. Bake sales, mega draws, golf classics, a table quiz in your local: if you can dream it up, we'll help you make it happen with posters, collection boxes and advice whenever you need it.

You can remember someone you love with a gift in their memory, or leave a gift in your will to help fund the research towards a cure.

We are the only charity in Ireland dedicated to people living with EB.

Without us, a mum who has been up all night changing dressings would have no one to call in the morning. A family worn out by years of care would never get a break. A child starting school would walk into a classroom where nobody understands why a bump in the yard is so serious. And the research that could one day end the pain of EB would slow down, or stop.
