- Who we are
EB research encompasses all research initiatives dedicated to finding treatments and cures for all types of EB. We also support advocacy studies which aim to generate evidence to improve quality of life for all EB types.
Our investment in research, both in Ireland and worldwide, has helped in establishing much of what is now known about EB. We are very grateful to our national and international collaborators for helping us to achieve this.
We occasionally fund research through grant calls but we often work with researchers to identify funding schemes which we can co-fund or partner on.

One of the main aims of our Research team is to expand EB Research capacity in Ireland, and we are always interested in hearing from researchers who believe their research expertise could be applied to EB. Equally, we also support advocacy studies which aim to generate evidence to improve quality of life for all EB types.
