We are proud to see Debra Ambassador Colin Farrell meet An Taoiseach Simon Harris following the incredible success of the Run to 40 with Emma Fogarty.

At Debra, We campaign to change policies that affect people’s lives. No one living with EB, or caring for someone with EB, should have to struggle to access essential services. We’re here to ensure no one fights alone.

This year, we asked the Government to ring-fence €600,000 for EB home nursing care and invest a further €95,000 to ensure holistic integrated care in line with the vision of Sláintecare (2021).

For many in our EB community, access to vital services remains a challenge, often requiring relentless advocacy. We’ll keep campaigning to make sure the voices of those impacted by EB are heard and that their needs are a priority at the highest levels.

We will be watching closely and reminding the current and incoming Government of the vital need for ring-fenced funding for those living with EB, and their families.
